Sinn & Gewinn: an entrepreneurial approach to achieving social responsibility!

In 1998, five highly dedicated women founded Frauenhotel AG, the non-profit public limited company behind Sinn & Gewinn Hotels. Non-profit status means that profits are not distributed to shareholders, but are instead invested in the continued advancement of social entrepreneurship.

Our objectives

  • We successfully manage and operate hotels and guesthouses
  • We offer employment and training for women facing challenging circumstances
  • We rent temporary accommodation to women, including women in crisis situations
  • We maintain properties in city centers that are specifically intended for use by women
  • We foster a corporate culture that embraces diversity as a source of enrichment and places great value on a concern for the less fortunate – while at the same time remaining competitive in the marketplace.

After all, the more successful these businesses are, the greater the positive impact they can have on society!

A long-standing tradition of social commitment by women

We are part of a long-established tradition of social commitment on the part of women. From the time the companies were founded, we have fostered a close-knit cooperation with the Compagna association and the compagna conviva foundation, the owner of the properties.
